Frequently Asked Questions
If you have pests in your home or business, you probably have a lot of questions about how they got there and how to get rid of them. As your local pest control experts, we have your answers.
Identifying Your Problem
Why are pests inhabiting my property?
There’s a wide variety of pests, and they invade homes and businesses for a variety of reasons. Typically, if pests are showing up, that means your property is providing them with the shelter, food, and water they need to survive. The presence of humidity and dampness, as well as dark and cramped areas (like your crawlspace), also tends to attract pests – specifically, rats, mice, and ants.
Should I be worried about pests?
The health and structural concerns pests cause are certainly worrisome. Many are capable of inflicting costly damage: Rats and mice tend to chew on building materials, while termites consume wood. They also spread diseases by contaminating food, leaving toxic droppings, and inflicting painful bites. Rodents, roaches, and mosquitoes carry diseases, while some pests like black widow and brown recluse spiders are venomous.
How do I know if my pest problem needs professional help?
For most infestations, it’s best to leave the work to the professionals. While a single mouse or small group of ants isn’t enough to cause worry, the real issues are when their outbreaks are persistent. Pests reproduce quickly, snowballing infestations in a blink. DIY pest control only goes so far; professional help is safer, more thorough, and more dependable – specifically for large colonies. Plus, swarming pests like ants and termites are incredibly pervasive and methodical, making them difficult to eradicate on your own.

Getting Effective Treatment
What are my treatment options?
We offer treatments targeted to eliminate each pest type. Various forms of baits, traps, and sprays are the most effective ways of combating pests, while heat treatments are reserved for the most resilient pests. But knowing what to use is only half the battle. Your treatment will be dispersed by a knowledgeable and experienced technician who knows how to use our treatments in the most efficient and effective ways possible.
How safe are your treatments?
Safety is our number one priority. One of the most important reason for getting rid of pests is keeping you safe, so our services are designed to keep you safe as well. Our team is well trained on all of our treatment options and how to apply them. In addition, because our treatments are eco-friendly, they don’t have any negative residual effects on humans, pets, or the environment.
How long will it take to remove pests from my property?
The time it takes to remove pests varies by type. A typical treatment takes a few hours. But the first go-around may not be enough to completely eliminate your pest problem. Most infestations require multiple trips to ensure the pests are completely eradicated – including follow-up visits to make sure they don’t return.
Do I need to leave my home or business during treatments?
On most occasions, you can stay while we perform treatments, as long as you’re in a different room, for safety measures and to make sure we have the space we need to target your pests. But it’s important you’re around to discuss treatment options and clear belongings if needed.
